Check out a timelapse of the world’s largest poppy (40m tall, lying flat) - 59,000 discs that represent the NZ men and women who were wounded or killed in WW1. Opened on 16 April as is being ‘built’ by the public until 6pm April 24 on the sports field below the Museum in the Auckland Domain – open 8am to 6pm every day. All New Zealanders, here and globally, can become involved by going online to the website to make a donation to purchase a poppy; it will be placed on their behalf – www.giantpoppy.co.nz
