Leighton Smith wanted views on whether or not Auckland's Port should be moved - what he got was something quite extraordinary.

It began with John Palino, who called in to give his views, following hot on the heels was Phil Goff. Before the 10 o'clock news Victoria Crone had also called in to have her say.

Straight after the 10 o'clock news Mark Thomas was on the phone, and he was closely followed by Penny Bright - meaning the five leading Mayoral candidates had all called in over the morning.

Leighton Smith probably didn't realise he'd be running a Mayoral debate on his show today - but that's what he got.
