Wellington mornings host Nick Mills went above and beyond to make sure one of his listeners received the Covid-19 vaccine.

83-year-old Gloria phoned up the show last week saying she was unable to get the vaccine due to her frail health.

Nick subsequently promised to transport Gloria to the Heretaunga Christian Centre to receive the injection, on what turned out to be a wet and gloomy Wellington Monday.

Gloria said she did not feel nervous given how important it is to get the vaccine ahead of her hip operation in the coming months.

"Especially while I'm going to be in the hospital because there'll be thousands of diseases in that place.

"I don't worry, my mother always said 'If worrying would solve your problems, I would tell you to worry', so I never worry."

Gloria added it was a smooth process in booking her vaccine.
