A ship carrying two mariners with Covid-19 has docked in Wellington.
Deep-sea fishing vessel Viking Bay, has been off Taranaki's coast since they tested positive.
Strict controls are in place for its arrival, but it has still prompted some concern from locals.Â
Labour MP Ginny Andersen told Nick Mills there's no need to be concerned.
"It's not like they are going to be standing out the front catching an Uber.
"They will be monitored in a way so there is no public interaction with them."
But National MP Chris Bishop told Nick Mills he is slightly worried about port workers.
"45 percent of port workers have not had a single vaccination, so about 1,000 port workers  around the country."
All 20 crew will have health checks, with most going into MIQ, and a few remaining in isolation on board.
