Good news for cyclists in the capital.   

Yesterday, Wellington City Council voted in favour of significantly expanding the city’s bike network. 

It will increase the current 23 kilometres of cycleways across the capital to 166 kilometres. 

The plan brings to life the $226 million dollar cycling spend councillors agreed on last year. 

Councillor Nicola Young voted against it while Cycling Action Network's Patrick Morgan is for it.
