Car Dealer Myles Gazley: Council needs to "get real" over cycleway plans

Reality is starting to hit for those affected by the Wellington City Council's bike network plan

Last month the council approved a plan which will see separated cycleways on more than 20 per cent of Wellington's streets - the current 23 kilometres of dedicated bike lanes in our city will soon be 166 kilometres.

The Newtown to City route, heading along Kent and Cambridge Terraces, will see 150 carparks go.

Kent and Cambridge Terraces will lose more than 50 carparks, and lose the handful of turning lanes between both streets.

Prominent businessman Myles Gazley sells cars in the area, and joined Nick to share his concerns.
