Temuera Morrison swaps Star Wars for Aussie alien invasion

Temuera Morrison is a Kiwi acting legend of the big and small screen.

He first made his impact at home playing iconic Kiwi characters such as Dr Hone Ropata and Jake Heke and then went onto the international stage as Jango Fett in Star Wars Episode II.

At the end of last year, he returned to the Star Wars world as the beloved bounty hunter Boba Fett in The Mandalorian - and, in a big surprise, he will have his own Disney+ show this year, The Book of Boba Fett.

But before he heads back to a galaxy far, far away, Morrison is closer to home in Occupation: Rainfall. A sequel to 2018's Occupation, the film sees the remnants of an army in Australia fighting back against alien invaders.

Morrison joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss filming the sequel, his approach to acting, working his Maori heritage into his roles, and his return to the Star Wars universe,
