Summer is here and it is the perfect time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors and the many trails and walks on offer.

Shaun Barnett has tramped the length and breadth of our fine country; he has worked for the Department of Conservation but is now an author, editor and photographer. 

His latest book is A Bunk for the Night: A Guide to NZ’s Best Back Country Huts.
