To say debut Kiwi author Rose Carlyle has hit the literary scene with a bang might be an understatement.
Her book The Girl in the Mirror sparked a bidding war between six American publishers and resulted in a six-figure deal. The same happened in the UK. It’s also been sold into four other languages, all before it has even been published.
But that’s not the biggest news – she’s also snapped up a huge Hollywood film deal.
The book is an edge of your seat thriller about identical twins Iris and Summer. It involves inheritance, a boat ride on the family yacht to the Seychelles, secrets and deceit.
Carlyle joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss her sudden success.
