Nick Lowe: producer to the stars, singer, songwriter, author and pop culture icon.
As a producer, he’s been described as one of the best. He produced Elvis Costello’s first five albums as well as writing his song What’s So Funny ’Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding. He’s also produced hit singles for the Damned and the Pretenders.
A singer/songwriter himself, Lowe’s solo career had hits Cruel to Be Kind,” “So It Goes,” “I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass.
His songs have also been covered by the likes of Johnny Cash, Rod Stewart and Diana Ross.
Lowe plays Auckland’s Powerstation this week, and he joined Andrew Dickens to discuss his career.
