In 2017, Miriam Lancewood released her memoir Woman in the Wilderness. A book detailing her nomadic life, living in the remote wilderness of the Southern Alps with her husband Peter.
The books was an international success, reprinted into multiple languages and lead to her attending literary festivals and media interviews all over the world.
Since then Miriam and Peter left New Zealand to explore the wild in other places around the world, through Europe, Turkey, and the Australian Desert.Â
They are now back and their journey has inspired a second book, Wild at Heart: The Dangers and Delights of a Nomadic Life.
To catch up on life since the first memoir, Miriam joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss the journey that led to her new book.Â
