Travel blogger Megan Singleton has recently returned from a trip to China, where a highlight was a three night cruise down the Yangtze River.
The river has changed in recent years. Over 1.4 million Chinese were displaced with the building of the Three Gorges Dam and they raised the water level about 70m washing away over 2000 years of historical buildings and people’s farms.
The government created new cities and moved the farmers there, but many still live in the mountains, about an hour’s hike down the cliffs to the water to get their supplies.
Megan joined Andrew to talk about the highlights of the cruise and what she discovered about the region.
