New Zealand is a nation of gardeners and that passion could be the driving force behind one of our longest continuously running magazine, which turns 75 this month.
It was during the second World War that most magazines were forced to stop publishing, yet in September 1944 the first edition of New Zealand Gardener magazine was printed.
Editor Jo McCarroll has been scouring back issues to release the magazines 75th anniversary special.
She joined Andrew Dickens to talk about the magazine’s continuing success and how it was born amidst the chaos of World War II.
