Wellness expert and co-founder, director, naturopath and yoga teacher at Golden Yogi, Erin O’Hara shares the secrets to having the ultimate nap with Francesca Rudkin.

Research shows that 10-20 minutes is the optimum time to nap. Rudkin admitted to trying this herself, saying she’d bounce up from her nap feeling refreshed and almost like she was starting the day again.

To keep to the optimum 10-20 minutes and avoid feeling groggy, O’Hara advises setting an alarm.

She also advises napping as soon after lunch as possible and not napping after 3pm, in order to keep circadian rhythms balanced.

Other benefits of a nap include a boosted mood, more energy, and helping to recover from fatigue.
