Erin O’Hara is the co-founder, director, naturopath and yoga teacher at Golden Yogi.  She holds a bachelor of science (physiology) and a bachelor of natural medicine. 

Kids are back to school, we’re back at work, the year has kicked off with a hiss and a roar – lot going on and stress levels can rise … so to talk about how to reduce cortisol and turn down the dial on stress I am joined by …

- Understanding the link between cortisol and stress 

- Fight, Flight, or Freeze – how we respond to stress. 

- What effect does long term high cortisol levels have on your overall health  

- Ways to manage stress and reduce cortisol levels – nutrition, herbal medicine, exercise, sleep, meditation or mindfulness, time in nature 

- Link between cortisol and melatonin. Cortisol = wake up / energy. Melatonin = go to sleep. The effect stress has on this balance. Keeping the sew-saw balanced.
