At the age of 18, Paul Wood was completely off the rails.
A drug addict, one altercation with his dealer ended him charged with murder and being sentenced to 11 years behind bars.
Those were 11 years he used to turn is life around.Â
By the time he left, not only had he become the first person in New Zealand to gain a bachelor and master’s degree in prison, he had also started a doctorate.
He’s now a doctor of psychology and is helping people build resilience, reach their potential and succeed through adversity.
Dr Paul Wood has now released a book telling his story ‘How to Escape from Prison’. He joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss his stunning life story.Â
