This week marked a big milestone in the lead up to September's election, with parties crossing the 100 days mark before the polls open.Â
On September 19, voters will go to the polling booths and decide whether to keep Labour at the helm or whether to install a new National Party Government.
The fates of the smaller parties – New Zealand First, the Greens – are on the line as both struggle to keep their heads comfortable above 5 per cent.
And while both parties suspended campaigning when lockdown began, campaigning is well underway now.
ZB chief political reporter Alex Mason joined Francesca Rudkin to discuss what the 100 day countdown means for political parties.
