Next Sunday will mark 100 years since the Liberation of Le Quesnoy, exactly one week before the end of World War I.
The capturing of the French town was New Zealand’s last major action of the war and most successful day on the western front.
To mark the anniversary, producer and director Jude Dobson has created an online documentary. It features six videos, written stories and five podcasts of letters from the soldiers.
Dobson joined Kerre McIvor to talk about the personal project, how it came about, and the importance of the Liberation.
