Russian tennis star Anna Blinkova is the latest tennis star set to play at 2023's ASB Classic tournament.

This has drawn some controversy, especially since ASB was rumoured to be pulling their sponsorship if any Russian and Belarussian players were appearing on the court.

ASB is still supporting the event, but sports marketing expert Marilyn Giroux offered some advice as to how the tournament directors could proceed with this choice.
