The All Blacks have entrusted Hoskins Sotutu to take the place of Ardie Savea while he’s on paternity leave.

The Blues number eight will make his first test start in Saturday’s third Bledisloe Cup match in Sydney.

Sam Whitelock returns from a head knock to start in the second row, while Karl Tu’inukuafe has been promoted to start at loosehead prop with Joe Moody ruled out through HIA protocols.

Meanwhile, the Wallabies have thrown a 20-year-old debutant the keys to drive the side around the park.

Noah Lolesio will wear the number 10 jersey in place of James O'Connor who has suffered a knee injury.

Lolesio will have another debutant outside him in Irae Simone, who replaces the injured Matt Toomua.

Blues player James Parsons joined D'Arcy Waldegrave to preview the match.
