National Party deputy leader Nicola Willis has had a meteoric rise through the ranks of the Party since entering Parliament in 2018.

She was a champion debater in her university years, before becoming a policy advisor for Bill English and senior advisor for John Key.

Before becoming an MP she held senior positions at Fonterra, Export NZ and the New Zealand Initiative.
