There are very few people who know what Sir Edmund Hillary’s life was like as a legendary explorer, but Sir Ranulph Fiennes definitely fits the bill.

Sir Ran, as he is known, is the first and only person to circumnavigate both North and South Pole, to cross the Antarctic and Arctic Ocean and to walk across Antarctica unsupported.

He is known as the “World’s Greatest Living Adventurer”.

Sir Ranulph Fiennes is in New Zealand to help the Himalayan Trust mark what would have been Sir Ed’s 100th birthday.

He joined Jack Tame in studio for a fascinating conversation on his remarkable career.
