Jessica Townsend has had unprecedented success in the world of children's literature.
The author has been called the JK Rowling of Australia, and her first book, Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow, was the biggest selling debut Australian children's book on record.
It also resulted in an eight-publisher, 24-hour bidding war, resulting in a six-figure deal and movie rights snapped up by 20th Century Fox.
Despite a busy and successful year, Jessica still managed to write the second book in her Nevermoor fantasy series, Wundersmith, and she joins Jack Tame to discuss writing the book and her career as an author.
