The Tech titans want to kill the password
Apple, Microsoft and Google have jointly announced their web and mobile browsers will be able to handle a new authentication method that doesn't require a password. And they want to have it live within the next year.
Instead of creating a password, you'll be able to authenticate through a mobile device. It's taking the current two-factor authentication a step further because you won't need to create a password, then register for 2FA - the 2FA is your password.
It'll be harder to do phishing attacks, more secure because the password is constantly changing, but not a terrible experience.
Snap's drone
Pixy is a drone dedicated to taking photos of you while you're out and about doing fun / cool things. It will fly for up to 20 seconds to get the video, and can do that five to eight times on a single battery. You'll be able to purchase extra batteries. It's certainly not for hardcore videographers but more of a toy. But it's an expensive toy at $230. Currently it's only available in the US & France.
