Microsoft has revamped its Office App

It's combined the Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint apps into one super app to make it easier to edit your docs on the go. 

It has all the same features - so you can snap pictures of tables and have them appear in Excel, search OneDrive for docs and edit them, scan PDFs are more.

- Outline view for getting your ideas into powerpoint super fast

Apple wants to ban a book all about the Apple App Stores

'App Store Confidential' is a German language book, written by the former head of the online app store for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Apple has sent the cease and desist letter because it says he's revealing company secrets. They take this stuff super seriously - I still remember when I left working as a retail associate at the Apple Store that they sent me a letter after I left reminding me of the confidentiality obligations I'd signed up for.

In Boston there's a podcast studio coming to a store near you

One of the big stationery and office supplies retailers, Staples, is opening podcast studios for hire. They're launching six of them across Boston in their 'Staples Connect" stores that are meant to be co-working and community spaces - something Apple tried to do with their 'Town Hall' stores. It's like heading to the copy center. You rent the studio for $60 a hour then they can help you edit it too. They're actually being supported by iHeartRadio.
