Kevin Milne's been reading, A Record of the Life of the Great Te Rauparaha. Kevin says he's quite a hero in Ngati Toa country, Kapiti, where he lives.
It's lead him to wonder about the use of Te Rauparaha's haka, Ka Mate, by the All Blacks and other national teams.
He says he can see no discussion about whether it's right that the haka is performed by the All Blacks at all.
"Te Rauparaha's tribe, Ngati Toa, love it, of course, this is the tribe that we have in this area, and have recently secured all the rights to it. But how do their old enemy feel? I'd be very interested to know."
