The internet is filled with a wide array of things – more than any one person could experience in their entire life.
However, as the internet has developed, spaces dedicated to children have been eroded – gone are the days of Club Penguin and flash games, replaced with adult and advertiser friendly spaces.
What this has resulted in is the exposure of generations of children and young people to harmful —sometimes outright illegal— content.
The Classification Office recently released a report delving into what young people are exposed to online, speaking with ten different groups, ranging in age from 12-25.
