Acting Prime Minister Winston Peters says he can't comment on Jacinda Ardern's trip to China.

The Prime Minister is on her way home, following her highly anticipated meeting with the country's top ranking leadership.

Ahead of Ardern's meeting with Chinese President, Xi Jinping indicated the need for greater trust and the need to pursue mutual benefit in their relations.

Peters told Mike Hosking, he can't comment on how the meeting went, saying Ardern could give an update when she's back.
