Addressing supply is just one issue in a multi-pronged approach required to tackle synthetic drug abuse.

The number of people now known to have died from synthetic drugs has reached 25.

Addiction Treatment National Committee Chair Vanessa Caldwell told Mike Hosking reducing supply is an ongoing issue.

"It's just flooding in, all different types as soon as we address one substance another one comes on the market."
