A new study has found a link between cold and damp bedrooms and poor health in New Zealand children.
2000 kids collected temperature and humidity data at home, with about half sleeping in rooms that are too chilly.
A further 13%, sleep in one too warm or humid.
Auckland University researcher Susan Morton told Mike Hosking when children are exposed to colder temperatures; they're probably living in poorer quality homes without heating.
“Those things together, mean that children in middle childhood are experiencing poorer health than their peers, both physical and mental.”
