A Government minister says the Greens shouldn't have pulled their ad attacking Simon Bridges' broad Kiwi accent.

In the face of criticism from their own members, the Greens took the ad down off social media.

Labour's Stuart Nash told Mike Hosking the ad has got people talking and thinks the Greens were a bit sensitive to take it down.

“Let’s face it, they were a bit sensitive to pull it down.

“It was an ad aimed at a small group on social media, now it’s dominating the press and making national headlines.”

Bridges says he wasn't offended by the ad and found it quite funny.
