Thousands of tourism workers are needed to meet the increasing demand of visitors across the country.
A growing skills shortage means 36,000 jobs will need to be filled.
The Go With Tourism campaign has now launched with advertising in Auckland.
Auckland Tourism General Manager Steve Armitage says they want to show young people employment opportunities in the industry.
He says students are unaware of the broad range of jobs available in the industry.
"What we are trying to go through this campaign is there is so much depth in the sector. There are management roles people can aspire and move into, which gives them great opportunities in the longer term."
The Go With Tourism campaign will also work with employers to recruit young people.
Armitage says many young people don’t look beyond the front-of-house roles, with other industries such as construction crying out for workers.
