ACT's leader is struggling to see the value in sending five MPs to Latin America on a junket.
The MPs are off to Argentina, Chile and Mexico with their spouses at a cost of $135 thousand to the taxpayer.
David Seymour told Mike Hosking it's not appropriate in this day and age.
"You've got a group of people who earn three times the average wage, air travel has never been cheaper, and somehow it's important to send five of us off to Latin America, it really just doesn't quite add up.
"I mean really, you've got to ask yourself is our international reputation that bad that sending five backbench MPs overseas could potentially improve it, I don't think so."
