A lack of Parliamentary support could be a major challenge to Britain's next Prime Minister.

Boris Johnson is tipped to be named Theresa May's replacement as Prime Minister and Conservative party leader tonight.

Several cabinet ministers are expected to quit or be be removed during the leadership change.

Political commentator Rod Liddle told Mike Hosking many anti-Brexit Conservatives are likely to side with the opposition.

He says there's talk of an alliance between the Labour Party and Tories who oppose Brexit.

39-year-old Jo Swinson has been elected the new leader of the Liberal Democrats, on a promise to do everything she can to stop Brexit.

Liddle says Swinson will become the de facto opposition leader.
