Today is Australian Day but it's being dubbed Invasion Day by some, and there are calls for the date to be changed.
Aboriginal communities have long called for a date change.
Now the Australian Green Party has weighed in and want it changed too.
Leader Richard Di Natale told Mike Hosking with the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788, came the dispossession of the aboriginal people.
"Many aboriginal people think to celebrate on a day that represents the beginning of the first and ongoing genocide, families being torn apart a culture decimated, is disrespectful."
