A policy idea to get more support for gender reassignment surgeries has been quashed by the Government. The idea was brought up at two Labour regional party conferences, an idea described as nutty from Health Minister Jonathan Coleman. He says the current two is about right. Even Labour MP's have now backed away from the idea. There's currently a 40-year waiting list for the operation. Plastic and reconstructive surgeon Peter Walker joins Mike Hosking to discuss.
