New Zealand's fruit and wine exports are hauling in the cash.
This comes after MPI announced a bumper year for the primary industries, with a 12 percent growth in export revenues over 2018.
Massey University's head of agriculture Peter Kemp told Mike Hosking the results show horticulture is riding a rising tide.
He said New Zealand produce has a great image overseas.
"If you look at kiwifruit, how do we manage to sell golden kiwifruit in China, many times higher than the Chinese product? It's better, it's about people wanting a quality product."
