MPs are hitting the campaign trail for the next six weeks.
Parliament has adjourned ahead of the General Election on September 19.
Former United Future leader Peter Dunne told Mike Hosking it will be a referendum on the government's handling of the pandemic.
"The National Party are either for what has been done for Covid, or against it. In that sort of situation, National run the real risk of getting swamped."
Dunne says Labour should be fine so long as things remain as they are.
"But if there is another outbreak of Covid in the next six weeks, then all bets are off."
