The infrastructure industry is keen to get big projects completed, now that the government's announced funding.
$12 billion has been allocated towards future-proofing the country and tackling the infrastructure problem.
Infrastructure New Zealand chief executive Paul Blair told Mike Hosking the funding is sorely needed.
"These are big and complex projects. We've got to get on, we've got to execute them well, we got to do it in a slightly different way, and we've got to build momentum."
