Thirteen options for replacing the highway through the Manawatu Gorge are being presented to locals tonight.

Slips have forced the piece of State Highway 3 linking Hawke's Bay-Wairarapa to Manawatu, to be closed indefinitely.

Tararua Mayor Tracey Collis told Mike Hosking the options are open for consultation.

"The will present them this evening at a meeting in Woodville, they have people available to discuss options with them and then in two weeks they will take it down to a shortlist."
