The Super Fund says some oil and gas companies will transition to a low emission economy.

Greenpeace is calling on the fund to get out of the 130 oil and gas companies it has more than $550 million invested in.

Fund CEO, Matt Whineray, told Mike Hosking since 2016 their percentage of high emission companies has dropped.

He said they've cut out companies with the highest carbon emissions.

However, Whineray said they haven't ruled out all oil and gas companies as some will be part of the transition to a low emission economy.
