An Australian media company is raising eyebrows over making its own vaccine adverts.

Channel Nine has launched its own Covid-19 vaccination campaign on Twitter.

The advertisement features famous Aussie faces, including Hamish and Andy, Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire, urging people to "give it a shot".

Auckland University Marketing Associate Professor Mike Lee told Mike Hosking the company has put itself in a difficult situation.

“It is your role to cover the news about the pandemic and also highlight the side effects of the vaccine.”
