Yet more evidence emerges that the country's education system isn't working.

A new report from Nanogirl Labs shows in our primary schools, science is a subject teachers avoid.

Only a fifth of teachers teach science in their classrooms regularly, and nearly 10 percent don't teach any science at all.

Nanogirl Michelle Dickinson told Mike Hosking a lack of confidence and knowledge is being blamed.

“We were about to directly correlate low confidence in science generally, with not teaching any science at all in their classroom.”
