National is standing by its story of a homeless man posing as a new arrival to stay at an isolation hotel.
Ashley Bloomfield and Minister Megan Woods doubt the story, suggesting it's an urban myth.
But National health spokesman Michael Woodhouse says he still believes the source of the information is reliable, and provided sufficient detail.
He told Mike Hosking he can't work out how Megan Woods knows the story isn't true, but doesn't know how many people have finished isolation with a coronavirus test.
“Woods is diving deeply into the records of 1706 people who have been through the facility, but she hasn’t got the wherewithal to go through those same records to see whether or not they were tested on departure.”
