The New Zealand United States Council's expecting the US to reengage with the world now Biden is President.
Joe Biden has just taken the oath of office on a sunny but chilly morning in Washington DC.
So the question is, will a Joe Biden presidency have a dramatic affect on New Zealand?
Chair of the NZ - US Council Leon Grice told Mike Hosking he is hopeful a Biden administration will be great partners with New Zealand, and says they will be pushing for a bilateral free-trade agreement.
"Biden is very experienced in foreign policy, I am very impressed with how much he knows about New Zealand."
