The flu could prove to be tricky this year.
Over 65s can get their vaccination from today but the rest of us will have to wait around another month more.
Associate Professor Lance Jennings from Otago University, Christchurch told Mike Hosking it's important we have the vaccine annually, because we can't predict what flu virus will be around and how serious it's going to be.
Jennings says he isn't worried pharmaceutical companies are too busy making Covid-19 vaccinations.
"There may be delays in supply but the manufacturing capacity globally is out there."
