Some businesses are offering Christmas bonuses.  

Waikato Regional Council bus drivers will each receive a $1000 bonus.  

Recruitment agency director Katherine Swan told Mike Yardley people appreciate added bonuses whether it's money or a gift. 

“Particularly over the last two years we’ve seen people go above and beyond, so I’m not surprised to see that organisations are really taking time.”
