Consumer New Zealand is raising concerns about fuel discount schemes.

41 per cent of fuel last year was sold through a discount scheme.
Consumer NZ head of research Jessica Wilson told Mike Hosking the discounts mask what the actual price is.
She says importer margins have also been increasing, as the schemes are growing.
Wilson says if markets were truly competitive the margins would be pared back.
