Airline bosses around the world are expected to be reviewing security measures in the wake of the Seattle plane heist, according to an aviation expert.
29-year-old Richard Russell stole a plane from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Saturday, but crashed and died after an hour long joyride.
It is not yet known how the airline employee was able to steal the plane without anyone stopping him.
Aviation security expert Jeffrey Price told Mike Hosking airline bosses should be reviewing which employees are allowed onto planes at certain times.
"I think what they are doing right now is looking at their normal procedures to see are these being followed, are these going to be preventative for the next situation."
