The Advertising Standards Authority has controversially not upheld multiple complaints against the Drug Foundation for their 'vote yes for cannabis' legalisation ads.

They found that concerns about the ads being misleading for promoting medicinal cannabis when the vote isn't about that were unfounded, agreeing with the foundation that it would "likely increase availability".

But they have ruled one of the TV ads must be adjusted before it can continue airing because it wasn't clear that the Drug Foundation were the ones behind the campaign.

Chief executive of the Advertising Standards Authority Hilary Souter joined Mike Hosking to explain the reasons behind the decision not to uphold the complaints against the controversial ad.
